MicroCool® showcasing products at APEC 2017
Decatur, Ala., March 23, 2017 — Wolverine’s MicroCool® Division will be showcasing its product line at this years APEC, March 26-30, 2017 in Tampa, Florida. The company will be in booth 1627. MicroCool® is an industry leader in base plate, cold plate and total cooling loop system designs. The company offers a myriad of fin and custom pin fin geometries designed to improve reliability and thermal efficiency in cooling electronic systems. These unique cold plates maximize thermal and pressure drop performance due to enhanced surface area, high fin density and distinctive micro-channel construction. MicroCool® will be showcasing its existing line of standard 2000 and 3000 series IGBT cold plates. The cold plates used the company’s patented Micro Deformation Technology (MDT™) and typically have friction stir welded (FSW) leak-proof seals.
Scott Holland, MicroCool’s thermal engineer, will present at the exhibitor seminar explaining how the company’s MDT design and FSW manufacturing significantly improve the cost, hydrodynamic and thermal performance of liquid cooled cold plates. Scott Holland will present these findings on March 28, 2017 at 3:45 PM in Room 24.
